Through this initiative, the ISO will explore how to enable storage providing cost-based transmission services to also participate in ISO markets and receive market revenues to provide ratepayer benefits and greater flexibility to the grid.
Initiative is currently on hold, pending policy development of broader market design issues to be addressed through the Energy Storage and Distributed Energy Resources initiative.
